Police arrest two in connection with 30-floor graffiti on Los Angeles high-rise

Police in Los Angeles arrested two men they believe are part of a group responsible for graffiti on 30 floors of an under-construction high-rise building. Victor Daniel Ramirez and Roberto Perez both from LA.They were arrested on suspicion of trespassing and later released. No charges have been filed yet but the investigation is ongoing.The incident occurred on South Figueroa Street and police were called to investigate vandalism.

Helicopter footage revealed graffiti tags across multiple floors. LAPD's Air Support Division observed over a dozen suspects trespassing and possibly spray-painting during the investigation.

While additional units arrived most suspects had already fled.Another potential vandalism incident was reported near West 11th Street and South Flower Street on Thursday involving suspects spray-painting on the 30th floor of another under-construction building.

The police caught up with a fleeing vehicle and the driver was cited for failing to yield to an officer.The passenger was questioned and released. City Mayor Karen Bass' office is aware of the issue and working with the city attorney to address it. However, immediate cleaning of graffiti on private property faces legal constraints. The police are continuing to investigate and identify those responsible for the vandalism.
